The Greensboro Police Department is hosting a safe surrender of guns November 7th from 8 am – 3 pm, and November 8th from 10 am to 2 om. Any guns, including handguns, rifles, shotguns and ammunition will be accepted.
Locations include:
- Bessemer United Methodist Church, 3015 East Bessemer Ave.;
- Christ Wesleyan Church, at 2400 South Holden Road;
- New Light Missionary Baptist Church, at 1105 Willow Road;
- First Baptist Church, at 1000 W. Friendly Ave. and
- Muirs Chapel United Methodist Church, at 314 Muirs Chapel Road.
Anyone over 18 can turn in a weapon. Nothing will be given in exchange for the gun. The weapons can be turned in anonymously.
