Guilford County issues Stay at Home Order

In Business by Greensboro Attorney

Our Greensboro Attorneys have been made aware that Guilford County is issuing at Stay at Home Order. With 22 confirmed cases in Guilford County, both Greensboro & High Point have issued a stay home order for their respective cities.

The order is coming the day after the city of Greensboro and Guilford County announced they had their first case coronavirus reported from someone who hadn’t left the county and did not have any known contact with any other person who’s been confirmed to have the coronavirus. The stay at home order will run through May 16, 2020 ad the order lists when people may leave their homes.

The question our lawyers have is are legal services considered essential services per Guilford County. Mecklenburg, Durham & Forsyth County all have issued similar stay at home orders and all of those order considered professional services, including legal services, to be essential. We await final announcement as to whether that will be the case for Guilford County.
