Additional Greensboro Police Officers Patrol Downtown

The Greensboro Police Department, which usually has about 30 officers downtown each weekend from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., is increasing that number after the violent assault’s from last weekend.

 

Four extra officers were added for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

 

They are working as volunteers and being paid time and half.

 

Although the greatest concern is safety, citizens have also reported numerous aggressive tactics by downtown officers.
