As we inch closer and closer to Valentine’s Day, it’s important to note that the intentions of those on dating apps is not always sincere. Our Greensboro attorney has received word of a 14-year-old girl who was using a dating app to bring unsuspecting victims to locations to be robbed.

The method was the same in each of the armed robberies according to a criminal lawyer in Greensboro. The person looking for love would show up and then the girl would show up along with other suspects to rob the person. One victim was hit in the head with a firearm. They would commit a larceny of a motor vehicle and then drive off with their belongings.

It’s important to note that with the girl being 14 years of age, that she is a juvenile and it will be interesting to see the ages of the men who were coming to meet her. On January 24, 2020 was the first incident. The man showed up, the robbers waived a firearm in the air, threatened to shoot him and then stole his car and his belongings.

A year later it appears they started doing the same thing again. On February 2 at 7:30 PM a man showed up to meet the girl but instead the suspects showed up and robbed the man. They committed a larceny of his belongings after the armed robbery.

Then on February 7, same situation at 4:30 PM.

This man was actually pistol whipped during the robbery.
