Greensboro Attorney
Two firearms stolen locally ventured quite a ways before being recovered. A sheriff stopped a vehicle and found two people inside of the vehicle to be in possession of firearms. The vehicle was stopped in Ohio. After questioning the men, according to a Greensboro attorney, the sheriff did a check on the firearms and it turned out the weapons were stolen from North Carolina.
The men were arrested for possession of a stolen firearm. The weapons were stolen from a nearby sporting goods store. Both men were charged as fugitives from justice and were awaiting extradition. The man had warrants out of Guilford County, North Carolina for felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and financial card theft. The men received bonds in excess of $150,000. A bond motion will surely follow with the hope of having a more reasonable bond set. Neither are convicted felons, so fortunately there wasn’t a firearm hold for charges of possession of a firearm by felon.
