According to our Greensboro criminal lawyer, a 22-year-old man was recently charged with forcible rape. On September 8, 2018, the sheriff’s office received criminal reports of rape and began their investigation.
Here we are over a year later and the Sheriff’s Department just now served the man with the rape charges on Monday. The man was arrested and placed under a $100,000 bond. One of the questions we often get is what took so long? Well, a number of things could have happened with this case. The man could have been in hiding which prevented him from being able to served with the charges. Or perhaps there was an additional amount of evidence that came to light which allowed the detectives to develop the probable cause to arrest.
