Greensboro Criminal Lawyer looks into the Hot Grease Defense

In Criminal by Greensboro Attorney

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of having someone break into your home and you’re inside the house at the time it happens.  That’s exactly what happened to a woman last Thursday. She was in her kitchen cooking when a man, who she didn’t know, rushed into her home.

Since she was cooking at the time, and the only thing at her disposal was what she was cooking, she flung the pot of hot grease at the man. The man was hit in the face and suffered horrendous burns all over. The man was charged with Burglary in the first degree and Domestic Violence in the first degree. He was arrested by local law enforcement and placed under a $300,000 bond.
