Guardian Ad Litems, good or bad?

Depending where you stand a guardian ad litem may be your best friend or worst enemy. They may be representing your child, or asked to investigate the parents depending upon what the judge orders. It seems though that there is no reason not to make the best of this opportunity. This is an unbiased individual who is coming in to in theory find what is in the best interest of the child. There is no reason you cannot get along with this individual and make the best of the situation. They are not your enemy, and if you do get along with them, then hey it might even help you in their report!
