Our lawyer received a rather sad report this week. A triad woman had parked her vehicle behind a row of businesses behind Alamance Crossing. Investigators believe she was back there searching the dumpster for items.
Unfortunately, according to our attorney, the woman didn’t exit the dumpster before it was serviced. Currently, Burlington Police are searching waste processing facilities and landfills in an attempt to recover her remains. Some would call this a wrongful death case, however, the unfortunate part is this a contributory negligence state and therefore because she contributed to her own harm, and would have some fault with the situation, her family would be unable to recover.
